How long has Art City Austin (formerly the Austin Fine Arts Festival) been going on?
Art City Austin has been produced downtown since April, 2000. Prior to that, it was produced for many years at Laguna Gloria, under the name Fiesta at Laguna Gloria. All in all, Art City Austin has been continuously produced since 1951.
How do I get to Art City Austin?

Parking Lots & Garages
Visitors pay to park in many parking lots and garages located nearby within blocks surrounding the festival grounds. See map for a list of garages and lots in the area.
Can I bring my pet?
No pets please. Although we love animals, in order to protect the art, no animals are allowed within the festival grounds. Of course, canine assistance dogs are welcome!
How much are tickets to the festival and where do you purchase them?
Tickets are $8 for adults and free for kids 12 & under. Ticket price includes free shuttle and admission to the Austin Museum of Art and the Blanton Museum of Art during the festival weekend.
Art Pass--$15 for a 2-day pass.
One day passes can be purchased at any of the (4) front entrances. 2-day passes can be purchased online until April 12, 2012.
Where are the front entrances located?
Front entrances are located on Cesar Chavez at Guadalupe, Lavaca, or Lamar and the 1st Street Bridge.
How many artists are at Art City Austin?
190 artists selected from over 950 applicants are expected to be exhibiting at Art City Austin.
How are artists selected?
Artists are selected through a jury process. A panel of arts professionals including gallery owners, university art professors, and professional artists select artists, using a blind process (they evaluate artworks without seeing the name of the artist). Fewer than 25% of artists who apply are accepted.

AMENITIES AND POLICIES
Pet Policy - No pets please. Although we love animals, in order to protect the art, no animals are allowed within the festival grounds. Of course, canine assistance dogs are welcome!
On Site ATM – located at the main gate at Guadalupe and Cesar Chavez Street. Additional ATM located at the food court in front of City Hall and on the Shoal Creek Bridge.
Museum Shuttles – Art City Austin attendees will be granted free entry to the Austin Museum of Art and The Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art on April 14th and 15th. Park near either Museum and catch the shuttle to the festival site after checking out the exhibitions and gift shops!
FREE shuttles will run from 11:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturday, April 14th, and 12:00PM to 5:00PM on Sunday, April 15th.
Lost and Found – located at the Art Alliance Austin Membership and Information at the corner of Cesar Chavez and Guadalupe. Lost children and lost items should be taken and picked up here
Visitor Safety - A team of emergency response personnel is located near the corner of Cesar Chavez San Antonio. If necessary, emergency transportation service is available. Smoking is not permitted in any seating areas on the festival site. Skateboards, bicycles, rollerskates and rollerblades are not permitted on festival grounds.
Beverage Policy - Please do not bring outside beverages to Art City Austin. Proceeds from beverage sales benefit Art Alliance Austin. Beer, wine, and margs are available for purchase at the festival site. Alcoholic beverages may not be taken outside the festival gated area. Please do not drink and drive.
Don't forget to wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes!
